The iconic Adelaide Festival Centre began its $23 million Northern Promenade upgrade in 2017 and is due to be completed later in 2018.
It will have a transformative effect on that part of our city, linking it to King William Street and the retail precinct.
It also creates another walkway through the city which makes Adelaide such a beautiful place to explore by foot for locals and visitors alike.
The Northern Promenade of the Adelaide Festival Centre will see the northern face open up toward Elder Park and the River Torrens with an upgrade to the Elder Park Kiosk and toilets.
2500m² of Exposed Aggregate concrete paving was laid along this Northern Promenade
We were thrilled to be able to contribute to the development of this beautiful building that has graced our city since 1973.
We have laid approx. 2500m² of exposed aggregate concrete from the King William Road entrance around to the new Amphitheatre and Dunstan Playhouse, and we chosen a sandstone coloured mix with a light reveal of stones – to make it smoother to walk on.
Meeting the State Government’s accelerated project delivery time frame
As with many commercial concrete projects that we do, we were chosen for this one because of our longevity and experience in delivering large commercial concrete solutions in Adelaide.
Additionally, we were also required to deliver to an accelerated time frame which was no small feat, but with our sizeable and skilled team, we were able to meet this.
